NEW! STRATEGIC PLANNING GRADES PreK-3 PARENT FORUMS - The Readington Township learning community is preparing for the development of its 2026-2031 Strategic Plan. As part of this process, all parents will soon have the opportunity to respond to an online survey that includes open-ended questions and an opportunity for comment. Additionally, all parents are invited to join a virtual forum and/or an in-person forum with our facilitator, Judith Wilson. The forums are voluntary and no notes will be attributed to individuals. Parents of students in grades PreK-3 are invited to join the following virtual forum: March 3 @ 7:00 p.m. / PreK-3 Parents Virtual An in-person forum will be held on March 4th at 9:00 AM in the Board Office conference room attached to Holland Brook School at 52 Readington Road. While we have reserved specific times for each grade-band in the, please review all forum dates and times on our website and feel free to attend the one most convenient for you. Your ideas and recommendations will provide valuable input for this important work.
New! Family Information Sessions for NJSLA-A - Please CLICK HERE for information about the new adaptive state test being administered in the spring. The New Jersey Department of Education is hosting virtual information sessions to help families learn about the new tests.

Grade 1 Parents - Hunterdon Prevention Resources will be visiting our first grade classrooms in March to teach students about the importance of diversity, acceptance, inclusion, and empathy through a lesson called “Spreading Kindness and Respect." Please see the attached parent letter for more information.

Please continue to discuss acts of good character with your child as he/she earns your permission to shade in pieces from his/her bucket filler puzzle. The Spare Change Challenge is happening NEXT WEEK! - Students can bring in spare change from Monday, March 2nd through Wednesday, March 11th. During this time, the classes will collect as much change as they can and compete with other classes in the school. This year, the spare change that we collect will go toward books and other Scholastic products for Whitehouse School!
The class who raises the most money will win the Principal/Teacher Swap where their teacher will become the principal and Dr. DeRosa will become their teacher for 2 hours! In addition, each student in the winning class will win a book from the Book Fair. If the school raises a combined total of $1,000.00 or more, every student will win extra recess!
Book Fair Coming Soon! - It’s that time of year again! The WHS Spring Book Fair will take place from Monday, March 16th through March, March 20th in the Whitehouse School Library.

Schools in New Jersey are required to conduct security drills once a month during the school year.The law requires school districts to notify students, staff, and parents when a school security drill is conducted during the school day. Additionally, students and staff are notified at the conclusion of the drill that it was just a drill and that no danger exists.
This email is to notify you that Whitehouse School held a security drill at approximately 10:30 AM today.The routine security drill went smoothly.

1. Go to the bottom of the Parent Portal Summary Page.

Parent Nominations for the Gifted and Talented Program - The Readington Township School District will begin accepting parent nominations for the Gifted and Talented Program for students in 1st-7th grade on February 4th. All parent nomination forms must be completed online no later than March 20th. Since the assessment process will begin immediately following the nomination deadline, late entries cannot be accepted.

The online registration process will officially open on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. If your child is currently enrolled in the district’s preschool program, you do not need to register for Kindergarten. Spirit Wear Sale - Starts Friday! - The HSA Spring Spirit Wear Sale starts on Friday, February 6th! Store site information will be pushed out on PTBoard and the HSA Facebook page on Friday and next Wednesday in the Genesis Blast. Is your child moving up to a different Readington school in September? Now is the perfect time to grab spirit wear for the school they’re moving up to (spirit days start early in September!) The HSA is working with a local Readington business (ChillHippo) for this sale. Purchasing spirit wear during this sale is a great way to support the HSA and a local business!
Save the Date!: Color Run - May 31st! - Get ready for a burst of color and fun at our District-Wide Color Run! This exciting event is open to all friends and families—including those from neighboring towns—we want everyone to join in on the fun!!

Coming Soon: The Cash Calendar! - We’re excited to introduce a brand new HSA fundraiser: the Cash Calendar Raffle game! For $10, you can purchase a game card to give you 22 chances to win, with a winner announced every weekday for the entire month of March. More than $1400 in cash and prizes have been donated by our generous local sponsors! You can buy multiple cards for more chances to win.

Mini Courses - Mini courses are back! We are currently looking for parents or community members to volunteer their time on Friday March 20 from 3pm-4:45pm. If you have a hobby or interest you can share with the children, we'd love for you to teach a class! Professional experience is not required. If you are interested, please use the link below to sign up. Want to volunteer and aren't sure what to teach? Please feel free to reach out to the chairs for ideas! We are also looking for assistants to help the lead instructors. Children of lead instructors will get early and free registration (up to 2 children). Children of assistants get early and discounted registration (up to 2 children).
