Attention Grade 3 Parents - Reading Portfolios Shared with Parents - As discussed by your child’s Language Arts or Homeroom teacher at Back to School Night, all students have shared their digital independent reading portfolio with parents via email.  If you have not received it or are having trouble viewing the log, please contact your child’s Language Arts or Homeroom teacher.

Walk to School Day - Whitehouse School is participating in Walk to School Day on Friday, October 10th.  Please click here for the flyer and click here for additional details.

Payschools - Our district has selected PaySchools, an i3 Education product. The use of PaySchools Central is free for households, except for nominal service fees applied if households choose to prefund a student account using ACH or debit/credit cards.  Payment made with a checking account incurs a flat fee of $1.95.  Payment made with a debit or credit card incurs a fee of 3.5% plus $1.50 per transaction.  Funds can still be added without any fee by cash or check in the lunch line.  Funds for school fees should be directed to the person per the relative permission slip or instructions.

Cook’s Night Off, October 8th! - Need a night off from cooking??  Let QCrew make dinner for you!  Pick-Up will be October 8, from 4-6pm on the RMS/HBS access road. H.S.A. Viking Pep Rally - October 10th!  - The H.S.A. is hosting the annual Viking Pep Rally on Friday, October 10th, and our HBS, TBS and WHS friends are invited to join us too! Come out to cheer on our RMS athletics teams (wear your blue and gold!), play fun games to win prizes, grab some food for purchase at on-site food trucks, and help us tape Mr. Charleston to the wall!! The pep rally is always a great time that you won’t want to miss! 

Invest in Your Child: Join Our Go for The Gold HSA Membership Drive! - Exciting news! Our membership drive is in full swing, and we're aiming for a record-breaking total! You can play a key role in helping us achieve this goal! Check out the attached flyer for more details on how this drive enhanced our children's school experience last year.  For only $25, your family can become a member of the HSA! Community Thank You - A big thank you to all of our families for supporting recent H.S.A. fundraisers and drives.  Your participation makes a huge difference in what we can provide for our students and schools - thank you!  Stuff-A-Mascot Plushie Sale Kits will be sent home via backpack with an expected delivery week of October 6 and Fall Spirit Wear Sale orders will be delivered to schools for backpack pick-up in the coming weeks.

Block Party Thank You - We would like to take this time to thank our wonderful block party chairs, Sarah Marcucci and Reem Carre, for hosting such an amazing night of music, pizza, animals and fun! Calling all creative Cubs!

This year’s yearbook theme is:

Wild About Whitehouse School

Students are invited to let their imagination run wild and design a cover that shows the adventure, energy, and spirit of our school community. Think of roaring school pride, jungle-bright colors, and all the ways Whitehouse School is wildly special! Your artwork will help create a keepsake for the 2025–2026 school year.

Due Date: Monday, October 27, 2025

Rules:

  • Artwork must be in portrait layout

  • Write your name and grade on the back

  • Place your entry in an envelope or folder labeled “Memory Book Cover Contest”

  • Submit to the main office

Prizes:

  • 1st Place: Front Cover of the 2025–2026 Yearbook

  • 2nd Place: Back Cover of the 2025–2026 Yearbook

️ How Winners Are Chosen:

A group of Whitehouse School teachers and staff will review all entries anonymously and select the winners.

Use bold colors, fun drawings, and creative lettering to show what makes Whitehouse School special. Please remember that light color pencils may not reproduce well.

Scholastic Book Fair - It’s that time of year again! The WHS Book Fair will be taking place from Friday, September 19th through Friday, September 26th in the Whitehouse School Library. You'll be receiving a flyer through backpack mail this week highlighting some of the most popular book titles this year!

Opportunities to volunteer to help out at the WHS book fair can be found HERE.  Just click the link, find your child’s teacher and time slot, and sign up! We look forward to seeing you at the Book Fair!

Fall Clothing Drive – September 8–15 - Help support our schools by donating gently used items!
Drop-off locations: Readington Middle School, Three Bridges School, Whitehouse School
Acceptable items: clothing (all ages), shoes, belts, hats, scarves, handbags, baby accessories, strollers, bikes/scooters, toys (2 ft or less), stuffed animals, bedding, curtains, tablecloths, and towels.

All donations must be placed in tightly closed garbage bags (do not overstuff). Tarps will be at each location for easy unloading. Questions? Contact mcnulty.j@gmail.com.

School Stuff-A-Mascot Plush Kit Sale - Ending this week! - Students can bring home their very own school mascot! Each kit includes an 8” or 16” unstuffed plush bear with a school t-shirt, stuffing, birth certificate, heart for a wish, and instructions.
Kits will be sent home via backpack approximately 3 weeks after the sale closes on September 12.
